WebOct 28, 2024 · In retrospect paying three times the price for a new LSI hardware controller is CHEAP, when compared to the heartache, cost of recreational imbibement, and various and sundry other methods for coping with trying to make the P410 work while racking up the hours over a holiday weekend. WebIMHO, hardware RAID is absolutely NOT dead, it just fills a niche, like any other tech out there and will not go away any time soon, just like conventional spinning discs won't just disappear. For me, and for clarity I run all hardware RAID, there are too many advantages over anything else for my use cases:
